Would Barack Obama have had the opportunity to run and be heard if it wasn’t for Bush?

I’ve always believed that Barack is a one time, once in a lifetime, situational candidate. What I mean by this, is that there are people smarter than him, people with more experience than him, people with more connections than him, people that are better speakers than him, but no one is better than him at this moment in time. In this period in history, where a generation has been ignored for way too long, a sitting president that has run amuck, created a situation where Americans are not welcome in other countries, and gotten us into jams with 2 wars and a set of enemies that is the culmination of almost 30 years of a “certain kind of politics” that enables Obama to create a voice, image, and presence that americans see as an opportunity to get out of the situation we are in.

It is the culmination of the Neo-Cons, the Bush’s, and Reagan Republicans to create this opportunity. Barack is a messenger of his supporters, a symbol of a future we aspire to and he will have challenges to face as he leads a nation, but it is his time now and only now. He is not the future of the Democratic Party, he and his campaign are a symbol of a generation that aspires to live by different rules… and he is our iconic leader.
