In my recent transition to the big apple (why the hell do they call it that?) I have observed a few things about NYC that I think could help out all new-comers…
- If you want to fit in, you need to own a pair of PUMA’s!
- If you don’t want to get lost in the downtown mix, don’t wear a white shirt!
- Be as daring as you want, no one will notice… because the guy next you is just as daring!
- Differentiate yourself by being polite… it shocks them!!!!
- If the women keep on calling you honey and sugar… well… deal with it… its just what they do… its actually kind of sweet!
- Find your own style… and don’t attempt to import it… you won’t get the same reaction you are used to…
But it has to be said… I’m still sad for leaving LA… what has this world come to…. But as we all know, its not the location, it’s the people that make a city!
